Kate is running against Republican Congressman Tim Moore in a gerrymandered seat that is impossible for a Democrat to win…so she stopped being a Democrat and registered as a Republican to run against Moore in the primary. She’s still fully a progressive and doesn’t hide it, and we talked about how she came up with this idea, what her opponent’s response has been and most importantly, what the voters think.
