Welcome back to Choose Your Fighter, where we spotlight candidates at the state and local level working to flip seats from red to blue. Today, we’re talking to Jen Jordan, who is running for Georgia Supreme Court against an opponent who sits on the board of the local chapter of the Federalist Society (the extremist conservative organization responsible for the takeover of the Supreme Court). Early voting has already started, and runs until May 15 — election day is May 19.
Jen covers:
What the state Supreme Court actually does
How the state Supreme Court is now the defense against racist maps
How to know who to vote for in “non partisan” judicial races
Why the ballots in this race are confusing
Donate to her campaign here, and follow her on Facebook, and Instagram!
Will Wooten is also running in Georgia for the Court of Appeals — against a Trump judge who overturned Trump’s election fraud case. And Miracle Rankin is also running for a Georgia Supreme Court seat!
