SPECIAL EDITION WITH OPEN COMMENTS, BABY. Republicans are trying to make drastic cuts to Medicaid coverage in order to save money for a tax giveaway to the country’s wealthiest 1%. The Energy and Commerce committee is debating the cuts right now (and will be until tomorrow or maybe the day after). Rep. Greg Landsman of Ohio is on the committee, and snuck out for a few minutes to tell us 1/exactly what’s in the bill 2/the effects on seniors and rural communities and 3/what comes next.
